TEDxPhoenix – Kelli Anderson – Disruptive Wonder for a Change

– About Kelli Anderson – Kelli Anderson is an artist, designer, and tinkerer who enjoys the challenge of seeking out hidden possibility in the physical and digital world. From interactive paper to layered, experimental websites, everything begins and ends in Kelli’s Brooklyn studio which houses a 1919 letterpress and an assortment of other benevolent contraptions. Kelli believes that the world is full of order that doesn’t necessarily deserve our respect, and in her TEDxPhoenix 11.11.11 TEDxTalk, Kelli inspires us to change the world around us by rejecting normal order, messing things up, and causing millions of teeny-tiny disruptions to whatever is sitting in front of you. This moved me…I too follow you on dribbble but I had no idea I was following such an inspirational person. Wow.

  3. FerdinandoMED says:

This is ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING!!! In the purest spirit of the Trickster archetype, Kelli is
a reality-hacker, whose actions re-create reality! Thank you!!

  4. oxygon says:

IS it just me or can anyone else hear her heart beating? there was a pervasive beating sound coming from her microphone… so much so I stopped watching halfway thru.

  9. JIYkp says:

    At least she’s doing something.
Go do your own TED talk about how design and creativity has stagnated or something like that.

  10. muteepatataski says:

yay, let’s scream ‘genius’ at anything that makes us smile for 2 seconds – yay let’s live surrounded by cool things for rich white people – yay let’s consume and think like we tweet – yay!

  11. SporeZoo says:

    realy ?
I swear I could see her lips move…;-)

  12. holleridio says:

My cat likes Kelli. Has been trying to eat her the whole time!
Oh and epic card by the way.

  13. cubicle89 says:

Her voice distracted me immensely. I can’t remember half of what she said, though it all seemed intereseing, if a little trivial: I mean, we could all be creative if we were designers and had the funding to produce such wedding cards! But how about applying the main idea to our everyday lives without being designers ourselves? That is the main challenge.

  14. Zair Abbas says:

    she sounds like Mark Zuckerberg!

  15. evelayn says:

OMG you did the GOOD NEWS newspaper! I only thought about it but did nothing.. thanks for the inspirations for creating something good for everyone…. 🙂

  16. Steven Spray says:

Granted, I can only agree to that!

  17. hobeeorchid says:

It depends. I don’t find it too insightful either, but that’s just because I already think the way she proposes so its nothing new to me. I can see very well though how others can draw much inspiration from this.

  18. bluewhiteapples says:

What kind of card is that? How can I make one? xD

  19. niklas1189 says:

She is a genius, using paper and everyday life news/facts and such to make something like that, absolutely remarkable!!!

  20. Steven Spray says:

That was not insightful or funny. Also, that wasn’t a TED intro, dislike.

  21. timbalion says:

  22. wasimsworld says:
